Programs

At Crosswinds, we understand recovery is an ongoing journey, one that is taken one day at a time. In order to better support our client's recovery journey we've integrated structured recovery housing with our state-licensed outpatient chemical dependency program. This approach allows individuals access to a variety of resources: safe, supportive housing, peer support specialists, community mentors, drug testing, along with group and individual counseling - all within one agency.

Structured Recovery Housing Program

A safe, supportive and structured living environment can be the difference between successful, long-term recovery and staying trapped in an endless cycle of addiction. Crosswinds operates three structured recovery houses where residents can begin to develop good habits, build healthy relationships and continue putting their lives back together around other people in recovery. At Crosswinds we recognize that men and women have unique experiences and needs when it comes to addiction and recovery. In our women’s house we aim to provide treatment specific to the needs of women in recovery.

What to Expect While Living at Crosswinds

Our residents have access to a variety of programs, local agencies and community resources to make their transition more successful. While enrolled in our structured recovery housing program residents agree they will follow all policies and program expectations. Some examples of these are: random drug / alcohol testing, nightly curfews, weekly house meetings, attending recovery / support groups, completing house chores, and participation in Crosswinds’ outpatient treatment, among others.

What To Expect During
Outpatient Treatment

The idea of entering an outpatient treatment program can be difficult for some, so we try to make it as seamless as we can. Our clients can expect the following components to be involved with their outpatient treatment.

Initial
Assessment

A comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessment and ASAM dimensional analysis, where appropriate, to help to determine the most clinically appropriate level of care for each client's individual needs.

Individual Sessions

The goal for individual therapy is to explore personal factors impacting a client’s recovery in a private & therapeutic setting. It also provides the opportunity to explore how the skills learned in a group can be applied specifically in the client’s life.

Group
Sessions

Group sessions allow clients the opportunity to communicate, share and process their thoughts, behaviors and experiences in a trusted and safe environment. Clients are enabled to build positive connections with their peers and the wider recovery community.
