"I decided to pursue a second career in social work after a unique volunteer experience opened my eyes to realities of privilege. When I decided I needed to make some changes in my life, I had access to resources and support that many of our community’s most marginalized do not. It was in this recognition that I committed to doing my part to ensure that anyone and everyone who seeks change is greeted by a community and systems ready to embrace and support that. Serving on the Crosswinds board speaks to this mission."
